Construction Crew Members needed for the Daicey Pond Cabin Repair Project.

Looking for work on a meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime project with an incredible view? Baxter State Park is currently seeking Construction Crew Members for the Daicey Pond Cabin Repair Project.

One of the most popular camping experiences at Baxter State Park, the Daicey Pond Campground has a rich history rooted in the tradition of Maine’s sporting camps. The cabins nestled along the outskirts of the pond can be traced back to Twin Pine Camps, which was initially founded back in 1899 when the Katahdin region first started to become a popular and accessible destination for recreationists. Beginning in May 2024, BSP will be undertaking a project to rehabilitate these treasured and historic cabins so that current and future generations may continue to experience and enjoy them. If you have carpentry experience, value conservation, and want to spend a year living and working in Baxter’s iconic wilderness setting, we invite you to apply!
