Chimney Pond Tales: Yarns Told By Leroy Dudley

$20.00

In the first half of the 20th century, Leroy Dudley, guide and spinner of tales at Chimney Pond on Maine’s Mt. Katahdin, enchanted countless outdoor enthusiasts with his yarns. In the 1930s, Roy’s tales so impressed a young Yale Divinity School student, that he backpacked an Edison office dictating machine seven miles to spin Roy’s yarns onto wax cylinders, preserving them for posterity. Here in Chimney Pond Tales we hear those yarns as we read Roy’s tales.
