Second-annual BSP sign auction[November 20, 2018]

Have you ever wanted to own a piece of Baxter State Park history? Friends is currently holding its second-annual sign auction featuring retired Baxter State Park signs and other special items. This year’s auction includes 18 signs from favorite locations like Russell Pond, the Dudley Trail, Daicey Pond, and Roaring Brook. Most are trail signs, but a few had more specialized uses. 2018 Baxter Youth Conservation Corps[August 3, 2018]

Mountain model celebration on March 15[March 9, 2018]

Please join us on Thursday, March 15th to celebrate the completion of ten new terrain models for Baxter State Park. These new high-resolution, state-of-the-art 3D models were produced by the same company that makes terrain models for the National Geographic Explorers Hall and Smithsonian Institution. Friends launches new Baxter Youth Conservation Corps[May 10, 2017]

After several years of planning, Friends is excited to launch our new Baxter Youth Conservation Corps (BYCC) in July 2017. The BYCC is a job training and service learning opportunity for youth from the Katahdin region of Maine.
